Property Alerts & Email Policy
How optional city-based property alerts work, what information is used, and how Tenants can stop them.
1. Optional feature
Property alerts are an optional HomeofIndia feature. A Tenant may choose whether to enable email alerts and may select one or more cities or other available preferences used to match newly approved or active listings.
2. Information used
To operate alerts, HomeofIndia may process the Tenant account identifier, email address, selected cities, alert-enabled status, timestamps and related consent/preference records. Listing identifiers and matching city information may also be processed to prevent duplicate alerts.
3. When alerts are sent
Where the feature is configured as intended, alerts should be generated for listings that have passed the applicable HomeofIndia approval/activation workflow rather than merely because an Owner submitted a draft or pending listing.
4. Consent and preference record
Where consent is relied upon for property-alert email, HomeofIndia may record the fact that alerts were enabled, the selected preferences, the time of the choice and the applicable notice/consent version. These records help administer and demonstrate the user’s communication choice.
5. Unsubscribe or disable alerts
You may disable property alerts using the alert settings available in your Tenant account or an unsubscribe/manage-alerts method included in alert communications. Disabling alerts should stop future optional property-alert emails after the preference is processed.
6. Delivery and listing availability
HomeofIndia does not guarantee delivery of every alert or that a property will remain available when an alert is received. Email providers, queue processing, listing changes and Owner actions may affect delivery or availability.
7. Safety
Property-alert emails should direct users back to HomeofIndia or an authorised destination. HomeofIndia will never require you to disclose a password, OTP, UPI PIN or card PIN in response to a property alert.
